Student travel award to WoWMoM 2006

On behalf of the organizing committee of IEEE World of Wireless and Mobile Multimedia Conference to be held in the beautiful, world famous Niagara Falls (NY) between June 26-29, we are pleased to announce that
- IEEE Technical Committee on Computer Communications (TCCC) will sponsor 2 student travel awards, each up to $400 USD, for attending WoWMoM’06. The award is open to any full-time student of a degree granting institution, and may be used to cover expenses such as, but not limited to registration, airfare or lodging. Students interested in applying for this award should immediately email to Prof. Chunming Qiao at drqiao01@yahoo.com and cced to Prof. Hung Ngo at hungngo@cse.buffalo.edu, with the subject line: WoWMoM’06.
The email from the student should briefly state how WoWMoM’06 can help his/her research and degree program, and name the appropriate sessions/workshops (WoWMoM also features two keynotes and a panel), and should be accompanied by a brief support email from their academic advisor with the subject line: “WoWMoM’06 + the student name”.
The two emails from the student and his/her advisor must be received by Midnight Monday June 12. The two winners will be notified by June 14th. Preferences will be given to students who otherwise would not be attending the conference and based on their academic merits. The travel support money will be directly paid to the students during WoWMoM 2006.”
- There will also be an IBM sponsored Student Reception on Tuesday June 27th as a part of the WoWMoM program.
